Mr. Weisbrod is a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) and Certified Safety Professional (CSP) with over 20 years of experience protecting health and safety. He is a senior practitioner in the fields of industrial hygiene and occupational health and safety. His areas of expertise include: industrial hygiene assessment, compliance auditing, developing and implementing safety programs, and hazardous materials handling and remediation design. Mr. Weisbrod has applied this expertise across multiple industry sectors, some of which include: aerospace, pharmaceutical, hospitals, chemical, electronics, general manufacturing, mining, electric utilities, construction, real estate, Department of Defense, and municipalities. Mr. Weisbrod has also worked with regulatory agencies and in facilities throughout the United States.
Mr. Weisbrod has performed hundreds of hazard and exposure assessments in a wide range of occupational settings. He has also conducted indoor air quality and workplace accident investigations, traditional industrial hygiene surveys, and baseline/periodic surveys of Department of Defense facilities. Mr. Weisbrod has conducted internal and regulatory health and safety compliance audits. Audits have focused on determining whether clients are meeting internal health and safety requirements as well as state/federal OSHA regulations and other standards. Mr. Weisbrod has developed, implemented, and managed a wide variety of health and safety programs specific for client operations and processes. He has developed site-specific health and safety plans for emergency response and remediation projects as well asbestos dust mitigation, lead compliance, and public safety plans.
He has provided safety oversight during emergency response, environmental remediation and construction projects to ensure work practices were compliant with site-specific health and safety plans, current industry standards, and existing federal, state, local and project requirements. Mr. Weisbrod has managed the health and safety program for companies with staff working in multiple states and served as a contracted safety manager for multiple companies and municipalities.
Mr. Weisbrod has performed extensive air monitoring for asbestos, lead, respirable crystalline silica, PCBs and many other air contaminants, advising clients of health-related impact and regulatory implications. He has conducted hundreds of hazardous materials surveys and provided guidance on proper hazard management for lead, asbestos, PCBs, mercury, and other hazardous materials. He has developed specifications for asbestos, lead, and mold hazard mitigation. He has managed and participated on litigation projects involving occupational exposures, worker compensation claims, and asbestos, lead and mold contamination. He has conducted detailed hazard investigations and provided findings to be used in expert witness testimony and evidence in legal proceedings.
